Dry Erase Board as a Puzzle Board
My family puts together 1000 piece puzzles sometimes (the largest we have room for). We were looking for a good puzzle board so we can quickly move a puzzle off the table, but just about every puzzle board at Amazon seemed to have too many negative reviews, so we didn't want to waste money on any of them.
The good news is that the idea to try a dry erase board as a puzzle board popped into my head one day. I spent hours looking for one at Amazon that might do the job and settled on the VIZ-PRO Dry Erase Board/Whiteboard (Non-Magnetic, 36 X 24 Inches). The white board area where the puzzle pieces go is roughly 34 x 22. That's a large enough area for most 1000 piece puzzles.
We've been using the dry erase board as a puzzle board since May of 2020 and it's still in perfect condition. When we use this dry erase board for 500 piece puzzles, there is a lot of room around the sides for extra puzzle pieces. It doesn't eliminate the need for sorting trays, but the extra room is still useful.
In December of 2022, I ordered the 48 x 36 size since my sister started buying 1000 piece puzzles that were just a little too large for the 34 x 22 board.
Warning: If you're using the dry erase board as a puzzle board, don't attach the marker tray. If you want the dry erase board to last a long time, don't have things such as jigsaw puzzle sorting trays sitting on it while carrying the board. Only move the dry erase board with puzzle pieces on it and nothing else.

All-Purpose Arts and Crafts Board
We originally bought a 30 x 18 (actually 29.75 x 17.75) Commercial Cutting Board by Thirteen Chefs because it fits across the top of our electric stove perfectly. We soon discovered that it was also good for 500 piece puzzles and doing things like painting ceramic figurines and other arts and crafts fun. The cutting board makes cleaning up an area much faster. For example, if you're doing a 500 piece puzzle on your kitchen or dining room table and need to clear it off so people can eat, you can carefully move the cutting board that has your puzzle on it and you're done. No need to box up your half done puzzle. Just move the whole thing and put it back on the table later on.
Amazon Warning: If you don't want a headache, do not buy the 5 pack set from Amazon. We bought the 5 pack set, but Amazon sent us only one. After contacting them, Amazon sent us only one, again. I contacted the nice people at Thirteen Chefs and they sent us the other three cutting boards.
