The True Cost of Electric Car Batteries
Watch this very short video about electric car batteries. Below is the text version.
“You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single thousand pound battery. It takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy. Just manufacturing the battery can have a carbon debt rate ranging from 10 tons to 40 tons of CO2. And the plans that are in place to increase the use of batteries will require an increase in production of minerals like lithium, cobalt, and zinc. Demand for those minerals will increase between four hundred percent and four thousand percent. There isn't enough mining in the world to make enough batteries for that many people for their car.”
Mark McCandlish and the Flux Liner
Watch the documentary about the American illustrator Mark McCandlish and learn about the mysterious FluxLiner anti-gravity vehicle.
People say that electric vehicles are not a good alternative because of the expensive batteries that need to be replaced too often, the time it takes to charge the batteries, child labor that might be involved, lithium mining that is bad for humans and the environment, and the drain on power grids that are already strained.
Many people say that the Unites States government has been using zero-point energy with their alien reproduction vehicles for decades. If that's true, there's no need for primitive toxic batteries. Bring on disclosure day already and let's stop pretending that free energy doesn't exist.

John Stossel and the ethanol myth.
Several new studies show the biofuel boom is doing exactly the opposite of what its proponents intended: it's dramatically accelerating global warming, imperiling the planet in the name of saving it. Corn ethanol, always environmentally suspect, turns out to be environmentally disastrous. Even cellulosic ethanol made from switchgrass, which has been promoted by eco-activists and eco-investors as well as by President Bush as the fuel of the future, looks less green than oil-derived gasoline. Meanwhile, by diverting grain and oilseed crops from dinner plates to fuel tanks, biofuels are jacking up world food prices and endangering the hungry. The grain it takes to fill an SUV tank with ethanol could feed a person for a year.
Compressed Air Powered Vehicles
MDI Zero Pollution Vehicles are simple, economic, and clean. The French engineer, Guy Negre, has developed a concept of a totally non-polluting engine for use in urban areas. The engine can power various sizes of vehicles, from tiny cars to large urban public transport 'trains.' These vehicles actually emit cleaner air than what we usually breathe; a welcome change. The temperature of the clean air expelled from the exhaust pipe is between 0 to 15 degrees below zero and can be subsequently channelled and used for air conditioning in the interior of the car.

Engineair is a company focusing on the development of air motor technology based on a unique rotary piston concept. Different from conventional air motors, the Engineair motor, invented by Mr Angelo Di Pietro, has virtually eliminated internal wear and friction and offers superior performance at a wide variety of application requirements.
Ultra Pods Personal Rapid Transit
The Ultra personal rapid transit (PRT) is a new and innovative on-demand system for developed or urban environments.
Using small, driverless electric vehicles that run on guideways, the lightweight and flexible nature of the system enables it to be retrofitted into a broad range of environments and provide transportation that is environmentally friendly and operationally efficient.
Conventional forms of public transit require passengers to collect in groups, wait until a large vehicle with a fixed schedule arrives, and travel on a predetermined route stopping for additional passengers on the way. In contrast, ULTra offers personal transport with no waiting, taking passengers non-stop to their chosen destination.
Moller International has developed the first and only feasible, affordable, personal vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle the world has ever seen.
The M400 Skycar has vertical take-off and landing abilities similar to a helicopter, flies like an airplane, and can travel short distances on the ground like an automobile. All this and incredibly, it's easy to fly! Actually a computer does the flying. The pilot need only move the controls in the direction he wants to go so that little skill is required.
Reasons why the M400 Skycar is safer than helicopters and airplanes:
The M400 has eight engines, one or more can fail and the Skycar will still operate safely.
The M400 has three independent computers for flight management with only one needed to fly.
Since computers control the Skycar flight during hover and transition, the only pilot input is speed and direction. Undesirable movement of the Skycar from wind gusts is automatically prevented.
In the unlikely event that insufficient power is available to hover, the Skycar's aerodynamic stability and good glide slope allows the pilot to maneuver to a safe area before using the airframe parachutes.
Each nacelle fully encloses the engines and fans, greatly reducing the possibility of injury to individuals near the aircraft.
By emphasizing simplicity, durability and redundancy, Moller is making safety an inherent attribute of this revolutionary aircraft.
The CarterCopter is a hybrid between an airplane and a rotorcraft. The combination of the slowed, unloaded rotor and the simple, small wing is what allows the CarterCopter to operate so efficiently. Its efficiency is on par, or better in high speed cruise than those of fixed wing aircraft (airplanes) with a stall speed less than 70 mph, and is much more efficient at high speed than any conventional rotorcraft.

Turn your pickup into a dump truck and supposedly unload up to 3,000 pounds in as little as 30 seconds with Loadhandler! No shoveling, no climbing, no bad back. Loadhandler consists of a heavy gauge poly fabric rolled onto a steel bar that runs the length of the tailgate. To load, just unroll the drag sheet to cover your truck bed. To unload, lower the tailgate, insert the crank handle into the end of the roller bar and rewind the drag sheet.
Although some say the Loadhandler can't handle as much as advertized, if I ever get a pickup truck, I'm ordering a Loadhandler the same day. Loadhandler is such a cool, useful, affordable invention, it's silly not to buy one (even if it really can't handle over a ton). There's plenty of other stuff it should be able to handle with no problems.
